Yovko Yovkov is an IT professional with more than 20 years of experience. He has worked as a system, network administrator, and information security specialist.

Since 2006, he has focused himself mainly on Linux and UNIX. Yovko has worked as a support specialist and team lead for UNIX enterprise-based systems for corporate clients at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Between 2014 and 2017, his work was involved in a Strypes project, the main focus of which the migration of Solaris’ existing infrastructure into Linux and the development of a control interface with commands and tools that are identical for both systems.

From 2017 until now, Yovko is a DevOps Leader in HedgeServ where he works on establishing a vision, good practices, strategy, and an architecture for SaaS and the IT infrastructure. He actively works with the developer teams to define the architecture, optimize the productivity and management of the various products and processes.

Yovko Yovkov has been a Linux and UNIX lecturer at New Horizons since 2009. He has lead trainings both in open groups with individuals from various companies, as well as a number of private courses with programs, tailored in accordance with client requirements.

He always provides a high level of added value to his students by sharing his in-depth technical knowledge, which he skillfully transmits throughout the training course.
